The Boko Haram sect on Sunday released a new video which showed the insurgents parading an unnamed captured own on an armoured tank. The Boko Haram video, obtained by the AFP, also showed the group’s leader Abubakar Shekau preaching to residents of the captured town. It was not possible to tell whether the footage was staged for propaganda purposes, especially scenes of residents cheering Islamist fighters. The message appeared to be aimed at reinforcing Shekau’s claim that he has created a caliphate within Nigeria. In the 44-minute video, AFP reports that Boko Haram voices support for other so-called caliphates, including the one proclaimed in Iraq and Syria by the Islamic State (IS) group. No fewer than 32 people have been ambushed and killed in Arikya-Soni , Nasarawa State by persons suspected to be Fulani herdsmen. It was gathered that the victims were returning from their farms on Saturday evening when the herdmen struck . We learnt from a source who did not want his name in print that the “32 dead people were given a mass burial at Umme .” A survivor, Habibu Mohammed, said the herdsmen killed his parents and made away with nine motorcycles, including one belonging to him. The Lagos State Police Command has arrested two teenage boys, Gideon Harrison and Ifeanyi Ezeorji, for allegedly having sex with each other in the Ikotun area of Lagos. We learnt that while Harrison is 19 years old, Ezeorji is just 14. Our correspondent gathered that the two boys were arrested on October 23 by the Ikotun Police Division. According to the police, Harrison and Ezeorji had sex with each other through the anus, an act known as sodomy. Our correspondent also gathered that while Ezeorji was a Senior Secondary School pupil 1 in Igando High School, Ikotun Road, Harrison had finished secondary school education.
